Mercury•1 is the solution for convincing and powerful "analog"-sounding synthesis totally integrated in your Mac or PC based VST-compatible audio recording environment! No need for external museum synths with hum, noise or other technical problems, just to create fat bass sounds, convincing leads or classic synth effects! Mercury•1 supplies you with some of the finest virtual analog synthesis you can get!

Mercury•1 was discontinued in 2004.

Main Features

Mercury•1 is a monophonic synth with a dual oscillator and an additional sub oscillator, a great starting point for truly "phat" sounds! Forget aliasing or weak bass. These oscillators are the virtual recreation of their counterpart in the physical world, with true sound generation - making it sound like vintage analog across the entire range.

The oscillator section offers all the classic waveforms, Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), a Noise Generator and even Oscillator Sync and Ring Modulation. Oscillator Sync can be modulated by the LFO and the Envelope Generator, providing even more flexibility for interesting sounds.

Filter Section

A classic Filter section including a 24 dB/Octave Low Pass Filter with Resonance, Key Follow, LFO amount and even the ability to assign either of the two Envelope Generators - in short, all you'd expect in a quality filter.

LFO & MIDI • The LFO section not only includes the "standard" features, but also sample & hold and the ability to sync the LFO to MIDI. Thus, the creation of rhythmic loops is greatly simplified. When LFO sync is active, the LFO rate parameter automatically switches to display the tempo base (whole/half/quarter note etc.). Creating complex poly-rhythmic sounds is a breeze using this feature and the multitimbrality of the Plug-In.

Just like on those classic Bass Synths, you can switch the TCA to "Gate", freeing up the second Envelope Generator for other tasks! And sure - we've got more: "Drive" employs our renowned SoftSat™ algorithm for analog sounding distortion, whenever required.
Multitimbral • It's a monophonic synth, but Mercury•1 is multitimbral! So each time you open a Mercury•1 you actually load 4 mono synths! That's up to 4 different sounds at the same time - or monster layer sounds with enough power to blow your speakers!
